Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using LOCKT, you represent that you are 18 or older and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you're using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these Terms.

When the LOCKT app launches, you may need to create an account. You're responsible for the activity on your account, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

LOCKT generates reply suggestions for conversations you upload. The replies are produced by AI and are recommendations, not advice. You're responsible for what you actually send to other people, how you treat them, and the consequences of your messages. LOCKT is not a relationship counselor, therapist, or legal advisor.

We do not guarantee that suggested replies will produce any particular outcome — including dates, replies, or relationships.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, defraud, or impersonate anyone.
• Generate or send sexually explicit content involving minors, non-consensual content, or content depicting real people in a sexually explicit manner without their consent.
• Upload content that contains another person's private information you don't have the right to share.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service, or attempt to bypass any security or rate-limiting measures.
• Use the Service to build a competing product or to train a competing AI model.
• Violate any applicable law or third-party right, including the terms of the dating apps from which screenshots are taken.

We can suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you've violated these rules.

You retain ownership of the screenshots and other content you upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you — including sending it to AI providers strictly to generate the reply you requested. We do not use Your Content to train public-facing AI models.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to upload Your Content and that doing so does not violate the rights of any third party.

The Service — including its software, design, branding, the LOCKT name and logo, and all content we provide — is owned by ForthLogic and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

Early access and beta features are provided on an “as-is” basis, may contain bugs, and may change or be discontinued at any time. We may collect additional feedback during beta periods, and you agree we may use that feedback to improve the Service without owing you anything in return.

The early-access waitlist is free. Some features of the LOCKT app may require a paid subscription once launched. Pricing, billing terms, and refund policies will be presented before you are charged. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled in accordance with the platform (Apple App Store or Google Play) you subscribed through.

You can stop using the Service at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you is not commercially reasonable. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity, dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, APPROPRIATE, OR EFFECTIVE FOR YOUR PURPOSES.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FORTHLOGIC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ForthLogic from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any third-party right or applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Where required by law, this clause does not deprive you of any consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll give you reasonable notice (e.g., by email or via the site) before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
